Former Ice Owl named Head Goaltending Consultant

FAU Hockey is proud to announce that former FAU Goaltender Erik Bentley has been named Head of Goaltender Development for the 2010-11 season.

Erik was an FAU netminder from 2004 until 2009 during which time he consistently ranked amoung the best goaltenders in the league for lowest Goals Against Average and most minutes played. He led the Owls to the Div. III National Tournament his freshman year, and was named Assistant Captain his Senior year.

Erik looks forward to his continuing involvement with FAU Hockey and promises a stronger and tougher goaltending core in the upcoming year. Erik is currently working with returning FAU goaltenders a few hours a week at the Owl’s home rink, the Saveology IcePlex in Coral Springs, FL.

He also assists Head Coach Worrell in scouting prospective goaltenders throughout the state.

All new for the 2010-11 Season, FAU Hockey has launched its new website. It is currently under construction, but we wanted to at least post general contact information and news for returning and incoming players so they can stay in touch with the team.
